Dear Recipient

Thank you for applying to the 2025 SFABSE Scholarship! We are delighted to announce you as a scholarship recipient, a true testament to your hard work and dedication. This $1,000 scholarship is not just a financial aid, but a significant recognition of your academic achievements. It will be awarded to you upon verification of your enrollment into college. The Verification of Enrollment, available in your student portal once you are financially enrolled in your classes, is a crucial document that confirms your admission. It differs from your class schedule. If you cannot access it from your student portal because you are waiting for your financial aid to post, you can receive a letter from the student accounts office, registrar, or chancellor.

If you contact that office, they can provide a letter stating that you will receive financial aid to cover the enrollment cost. They will be familiar with the document and process. Once we receive verification, you can receive your scholarship check before classes.

We eagerly look forward to celebrating your achievements with you on Thursday, May 29, 2025, at 5:30 PM at the African American Arts and Culture Complex (AAACC), 762 Fulton St, San Francisco, CA 94102, in the Hall of Culture room. This will be a joyous occasion where you will also receive further instructions on obtaining your scholarship. Bring your friends and family for live music and a delightful spread of African American cuisine. This event, the Scholarship & Retiree Salute (S&RSa), is a testament to your success. Congratulations again!  The follow-up steps for 2025 Scholarship Winners are to attend the Banquet, obtain your enrollment verification, and send the official documents via Google Form no later than December 31, 2025.
