Diane Gray is a native San Franciscan and a proud 45-year resident of the Bayview Hunters Point community. Ms. Gray was educated in the San Francisco public school system, graduated from San Francisco State University, and Certificate in College and Career Advising from UC Berkeley. She is passionate about education and supporting children and youth to achieve academically and socially to their full potential. In 1998, Diane and her cousin co-foundered 100% College Prep an after school and In
school program dedicated to preparing youth for post-secondary educational opportunities. Her decades of work at 100% College Prep, has resulted in a great number of college graduates from the Bayview Hunters Point community and beyond. She lives by the quote to her students, "My Success is Your Success.
Over the course of her career, Diane has received numerous awards for her accomplishments including the Jefferson Silver Award, 2017; National Council of 100 Black Women, Education Award; National Council of Negro Women, Education Award; Omega Psi Phi, Community Award; and Local Hero of the Year Award, KQED. Ms. Gray is an Executive Officer and Budget and Finance Chair for the San Francisco Alliance of Black School Educators; a founding member of the Black To The Future Initiative, the City of San Francisco's My Brother and Sister's Keeper Initiative, and MegaBlack.SF.
